Privacy Policy

LexiUp (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use Google or Apple Sign-In, your name and profile photo.
• Profile information: A display name and an optional avatar image you choose from your photo library.
• Learning data: Your progress in the app - words you have learned or marked as known, test and review results, daily streaks and goals, selected courses and levels, bookmarked words, and the personal notes you write under cards in your feed.
• Settings: Your interface and study language, notification window, words-per-day pace and time zone.
• Purchase status: Whether you own the LexiUp Lifetime in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment details.
• Advertising data: When ads are shown to users on the free tier, Google’s advertising SDK may access device identifiers and information about ad interactions. See section 3.

We do not use any analytics SDK, and we do not track your activity across other apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the learning experience: select your daily words, schedule reminders and build your progress feed
• Restore your progress after a reinstall, on a new device or after signing back in
• Authenticate your identity and keep your account secure
• Show ads to users on the free tier, and remove them for Lifetime users
• Respond to your support requests

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push server and we do not collect a push notification token.

3. Advertising

The free version of LexiUp shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads appear only before the evening test and when unlocking extra review sessions - never between lessons or inside your feed. Purchasing LexiUp Lifetime removes ads entirely.

Google may use device identifiers and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can read about Google’s practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before ads are personalized, using Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the privacy settings in the app.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database backup, file storage and abuse protection, and Google AdMob for advertising. These providers have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.
• Apple: In-app purchases are processed by Apple under its own privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your learning data is never shared with other users. LexiUp has no social features, no public profiles and no sharing of your progress with third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your learning progress is stored on your device. A backup copy is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure so that it can be restored later. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration or destruction.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed.

6. Your Rights

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Delete account)
• Opt out of notifications at any time via your device settings
• Change or withdraw your advertising consent in the app’s privacy settings
• Request a copy of your data

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children’s Privacy

LexiUp is rated 4+ because it contains no objectionable content, but the Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

This website itself loads no third-party resources: the font and images are served from this domain, and there are no analytics, cookies or trackers of any kind.
